Saba Graduates Secure Top Residencies in the U.S. and Canada.

Did you know that 97% of eligible Saba graduates between 2020 and 2024 1 attained residency placements and are now actively practicing medicine across all 50 United States and Canada?

Every year, Saba students obtain residencies in a variety of competitive programs at renowned teaching hospitals and leading medical centers across the U.S. and Canada. Saba students have secured residencies in various specialties including Anesthesiology, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Neurology, and Surgery (just to name a few). To help our students gain competitive placements, we offer a research component as part of our curriculum which provides them with the scientific reasoning skills needed to excel in the most rigorous training programs.  

Funding your Studies

Knowing where to find financial aid to pursue your dream of a medical education can feel overwhelming, but students attending Saba can benefit from a range of private and public funding options to help finance their Doctor of Medicine degree.

U.S. Federal and Canadian Government Loans

Saba MD program students from the United States are eligible for Title IV student loan funding through the U.S. Department of Education. 

Canadian students in the MD program are eligible for loans from the government in their province of residence.

Financial Support for U.S. Students

MD program students are eligible for up $105,000 USD in grants and scholarships.

Canadian Students Can Pay in CAD

Starting September 2025, Canadians are eligible to pay MD program tuition and administrative fees in CAD. In addition, they are eligible for up to $45,000 CAD in grants and scholarships.

1. 97% Four Year Residency Placement Rate is the percent of students attaining a residency position out of all graduates or expected graduates in 2020-21, 2021-22, 2022-23 and 2023-24 who were active applicants in the NRMP match or attained a residency outside the NRMP match.

2. Based on 2021-2023 data. First-time pass rate defined as total number of students passing the USMLE Step 1/USMLE Step 2 CK on their first attempt divided by the total number of students taking USMLE Step 1/USMLE Step 2 CK for the first time between the calendar years 2021 to 2023.  In order to sit for the USMLE Step 1/USMLE Step 2 CK exam, the student must successfully complete the Basic Science/Clinical Medicine curriculum and such other prerequisites as the school may establish at its discretion.
